Glad you enjoyed A Present for Austin! It’s the shortest story I’ve ever written and postted. Generally, I write longer stories, in part because I don’t know how to make the characters acquire personalities and the situations to ‘come alive’ in the space of a short story. So, I’m delighted to to read that you got into these characters’ feelings quickly.
By the way, have you seen my story Jessa Meets Her Match on this site? I just posted Chapter 10. Since you’ve read my longer stories, you might enjoy it.

I’m just noticing that I did not reply to your comment (but I did read it right away when it was first posted). I’m glad you enjoyed this story. I especially like that it reminded you of the New Years Eve party you mention. That must have been so fun — for the soon to be bride, as well as everyone else! All of us here dream of things like happening such that we get to witness them! And, by the way, CONGRATULATIONS on your strong showing in the contest. Stupendous!

PS: the girl in gift wrap makes me think of Kinsey’s story (Unwrapping the Gift). Girls wrapped up as presents — that’s something that I hope catches on!

I like this story, from the beginning to the end.

In fact, it reminds me a friend of mine, long years ago in the late eighties, at a New Year Eve’s party. She was not tied, but fully naked, only wrapped in gift wrap her (future) husband had to unwrap.

Now, she’s a happy mother of three children!

I’m pleased to consider that once again, reality always exceeds fiction.

I expect to be posting Chapter 9 within a few days. Give it a look see, if you haven’t already. It’s much longer than A Present for Austin, but short compared to my first two stories.
