I wasn’t feeling well this week and was unable to do much writing. Starting to feel better, and I expect to post chapter 21 coming Friday.

Melanie does seem to be bi-curious (still, at the very least). I’m enjoying how her sexual orientation seems to be somewhat in flux. More accurately, I say that we are discovering it as she is discovering it.

Yes, Melanie (and the people around her) figuring out what makes her tick, is a big part of the story. For example:

It’s fun to see the role that Josy is carving out for herself with her roommates. And nice to see Melanie going along with her ‘suggestions.’

We’ve come to know that for Melanie, going along with these suggestions evokes strong feelings in her. This colors her experiences, just like Brian’s suggestion that Saturday morning in the park, when they went to that quiet corner. It’s up to Melanie to figure out what is part of her sexual orientation and what is not.

As she lay there by herself, her hands roamed her body while her mind returned to her dream. Wait, had she dreamt all of it, or had the second part – where Josy had fingered her to an orgasm – been real? It had been a haze; her memory was clouded by the orgasm that had followed, and she had fallen asleep shortly after. Racking her brain, she was quite certain it had been real.

I love this! The first part, she’s sure that was a dream. But the second part – might that have been a dream as well. Her uncertainty on that issue is creates some interesting challenges.
 

She watched as Josy let her towel drop, revealing her bra and panties. Hmm, cute, skimpy panties. Standing at her closet, Josy dressed with her back to Melanie. Jeans and a button down blouse. Melanie was a bit sad to see Josy’s mostly bare butt become hidden from view.

…door up ahead opened and a girl stepped out. Oh no. Left, right, nowhere to go.

I love Melanie’s internal dialogue when she is surprised in the hallway. Written thus, we feel flustered, confused, and panicky right along with her.
 

A pair of eyes looked Melanie over from top to bottom.

This has always been a story that I enjoy as a reader AND as a writer. It’s eyes that are looking Melanie over. I’m enjoying that on several levels.
 

“Or do you want to have breakfast in the nude?”

I really appreciate that Josy is finally feeling okay with asking such questions. I know what I want Melanie’s answer to be.
 

After briefly considering bending over and mooning her, she decided to just get dressed. It wouldn’t do well to get carried away.

But to her credit, she did consider it.
 

Josy spoke up. “The chemise is new, and Melanie was showing it to me.” She turned to Melanie and said, “Can you stand up, show it to Sophia?”

“Simple yes or no.”

I enjoy the dialogue. In this story, the characters talk like real people. Sometimes full sentences, but often not.
 

Josy moved the chemise a bit faster, taking it off completely.

That’s exactly what I was rooting for!
 

“Fine.” Melanie stripped off the chemise, tossing it onto the bed, while still facing Josy. Standing there naked in front of her, she was already forgetting why she was upset.

In a lot of stories, the protagonist experiences arousal from exposure, as does Mel. But here we have a much more subtle form of that. It is changing her mood – making her forgetful. Another nuance that can be enjoyed as a reader and as a fellow writer.
 

Slowly moving her finger in and out, Josy said, “See, you did enjoy it.”

So, Melanie, are you still wondering if the second part was a dream? LOL!
 

Besides, they did have to hurry to class.

Is anyone else wondering if Melanie will have any difficulty paying attention in class? It’s not every day you watch your friend put her finger entire finger in her mouth (to taste it like this).

Yes, I suppose there are some bdsm elements in all these stories. Some more than others.

Yes, there are two sides to it. The thrill of that long walk down the hallway is much more intense. On the other hand, the fear of being seen, and the repercussions. She doesn’t know Josy’s roommates as well as her own, and some she barely even talked to yet.

I think it is indeed more interesting for Melanie.

Yes, alternatively the obedience could just be the beginning of a bdms relationship. A dominant and a submissive. Such a thing fits very well within ENF stories, as we have seen so far. In my limited experience, the best bdsm stories have trust and a budding romance in them with a gradual escalation of exposure.
