“How do you feel?” Josy asked out of the blue during the bus ride to the large indoor pool. She was fiddling with the strap of her bag.
“Hmm? Good,” Melanie smiled and squeezed her hand.
Josy leaned in closer, whispering, “I mean, are you okay with all that happened this morning?”
Melanie played with the braid in her hair. She wasn’t sure how to answer. Was she really okay with how many people had seen her naked that morning? Josy, of course. Then Brian at the breakfast table, followed by Livia and even Jess. Narrowly avoiding being seen by Jess’ boyfriend, she’d had to walk out of the apartment, prodded by Josy and still nude, all the way to the elevator and back. Two strangers had gotten a good look at her. Last, but not least, Reese received an intimate close-up view. Six people. It felt like a lot more than that.
She remembered Josy’s words, ‘Today, I will push you.’ There had been a lot of pushing.
Would there be more at the pool? A brief image of herself stripped naked, standing at the edge of the pool, flashed through her mind. She trembled at the thought, but then her lip curled up at the silliness. There was no way Josy would do that with kids around.
As for whether she was okay with being stripped at the breakfast table, being seen by two of Josy’s roommates, as well as the naked walk to the elevator and back, she couldn’t bring herself to say she wasn’t okay with it, nor that she was. Thankfully, it seemed that Josy wasn’t pressing for an answer.
Not long after that, they were standing in front of the pool’s entrance. Melanie stopped Josy and asked, “Will you still be pushing me?”
“Hmm. Do you not want me to?”
“I don’t know…”
Melanie felt her hands shaking a little, not just from nervousness, but also excited anticipation.
“We’ll keep it fun, okay? And if you think it’s becoming too much, just say ‘enough’. It’ll be our safe word.”
“‘Enough’?” Melanie repeated slowly. She’d read stories involving safe words, and the idea that she might need one made her wonder briefly whether Josy had brought ropes or handcuffs with her to the pool. She smiled nervously. “…Okay.”
Josy smiled back at her, and they walked into the building.
Brian was waiting for them together with another guy, Alex. They explained that they were high school friends, and Melanie thought she felt a good vibe about him. Shortly after, the others had arrived as well. Sarah had brought her boyfriend, Manuel. It was the first time for Melanie to meet him. Cohen had invited Teresa, a girl he’d met at the halloween party.
They lined up at the booth for college students. Fortunately, it was much shorter than the family line.
“Student ID?” the woman asked.
“Uhm, two of us aren’t students here,” Sarah said, showing her ID.
“Oh, no problem. You can bring two invites, but they have to be eighteen or older, so they’ll need another type of ID. To the left is the college reserved area, and to the right the main area,” the woman explained, pointing to the sign up ahead.
Hearing that it was an eighteen plus only area brought Melanie’s mind back to being pushed. Turning to look at Josy, she saw that familiar glint and smiled nervously at the idea that she might end up nude somehow.
“College area?” Cohen asked as they walked to the changing rooms. “Did you know about that?”
“The notice said the college sponsored it.”
They walked past the large changing rooms towards the cubicle area.
“First I heard about it,” Sarah answered. “Well, see you in a bit.”
They each went off to find an unoccupied cubicle to change. As Melanie took her new indigo suit out of her bag and started putting it on, she paused. It was smaller than she remembered. She frowned at the skimpy suit. Did she really buy this? She remembered Josy bringing her three options to try, and this was the least outrageous one. Maybe that had skewed her perspective a little.
She regretted not bringing her old suit. The new top teased the swell of her b-cup breasts, and the thong… well it was skimpy to say the least. With her fingers she probed the small triangle above her butt. The narrow band between her butt cheeks hid exactly nothing, and the low-rise front – while decent – covered less than she was used to. She pulled up the waist a little, but seeing how easily it formed a front wedgie she decided she’d rather let it sit low. Even then, there was still a bit of a dipping line down the middle, and she hoped others wouldn’t be able to tell. Could she go back home for her old suit? She shook her head, trying to dispel that idea.
After putting their stuff in lockers, they met back up with the boys.
“Oh, okay,” Cohen said. “So I guess they split the building into two sections. One for college students and the other for families. Look, there’s the passage to the other area.” He pointed at a sign.
Melanie took in the chlorine air, taking note of the layout as her fingers idly pulled her suit up on her hips. There was an olympic size swimming pool. A diving pool grabbed her attention, as well as a few side areas. Everyone seemed to be close to their age.
She followed her friends to the edge of the pool. She was the only one among them in a thong, and though she’d already guessed that, she was still miffed at Josy, who’d promised during their shopping trip to wear one as well.
Josy’s suit was a cheeky cut – quite revealing, but not a thong.
“You owe me, Josy,” Melanie said.
“Hmm?”
“You said we’d be matching.”
The others all looked at her, checking out her suit, front and back. She wished she hadn’t drawn attention to herself. Glancing down at herself, she mentally kicked herself for tugging her suit up her hips a few moments ago. She was sporting a clearly visible camel toe.
“Oh?” Josy grinned. “Whatcha gonna do ‘bout it?”
Melanie pouted, but as Cohen was saying something that distracted Josy, she drew her hand back and slapped Josy on the exposed part of her left butt cheek, leaving her hand stinging.
Squealing, Josy dove in with a cannon ball and the next half hour was a flurry of races, floaties, and throwing a ball around.
Brian looked over to the diving boards. “That looks pretty high!”
Though Melanie was enjoying herself, she was a little preoccupied thinking about all that had happened since halloween. She was worried about what people thought of her, and how it would change their perception and expectations of her. In particular, she couldn’t hold back thoughts about how Brian’s opinion of her might have dropped significantly.
There were three diving boards at different heights. She guessed that the high board was maybe four meters high. Big skip on that one, she thought.
Waiting at the diving board, Melanie pulled Brian to the side. After hemming and hawing, unsure how to raise the topic, she managed to say, “Do you think less of me?”
He turned to look at her, confusion on his face.
“You know, yesterday, and this morning.”
“Oh?” His eyes brightened. “Melanie…” he mused, pausing as a smile formed. “Of course I don’t! We’re friends.” He looked away for a moment as a hint of a frown formed, but the smile won and he locked eyes with her. “You’re a bit kinky, but… that’s what’s cool about you.” He grinned.
Bewildered, Melanie stared at the guy she didn’t think was capable of saying such things to her face. He’d called her kinky. She turned away from him and hoped he wouldn’t notice how it made her giddy.
“Love the bikini, by the way.”
That gave her a good excuse for a smile. “You do? You saw more of me already, even this morning. Isn’t… isn’t this a let down?” she asked, studying her wiggling toes.
“It looks good on you.”
She looked back over her shoulder and saw him staring at her butt, so she turned around to face him, only to see his eyes pop up to her chest. “Stop it,” she said, lifting her arms up in front of her chest.
He laughed. “So cute, but if I do this, you’re butt naked.” He closed his eyes, his endearing smile transforming into a lopsided lecherous one.
She slapped his arm, feeling herself blush. “Stop that!”
He opened his eyes and grabbed her wrist, stopping her from slapping him again. “Fine, fine. Just…don’t worry. You really are amazing.” He smiled at her as he let go.
“What are you two conspiring about?” Josy asked, walking up to them. After waiting for an answer but not getting one, she put her chin on Melanie’s shoulder and whispered, “Your turn on the diving board.”
As Melanie climbed up the ladder of the lowest of the three diving boards, which was just a meter high, Josy giggled from the base of the ladder. “Surely that’s a crime.”
“What is?” Melanie asked as she stepped onto the board. She saw Josy and Brian admiring her. In reflex, her hand went down to adjust her suit, only finding bare skin until her finger reached the small of her butt. Her finger went under the material and began to pull it out between her cheeks, but she thought better of it. It wouldn’t change anything. She let go and it went back in place with a snap.
“What do you think, Brian?” Josy conspired.
“No comment,” he laughed.
Feeling their stares, Melanie vowed to be more careful going up the ladder. She bounced a bit before jumping feet first off the board, with her arms protectively over her chest. She discovered her suit was definitely not for diving and pulled her top back down over her breasts.
“Ha! You can do better,” Josy teased. Others agreed and encouraged her to go again.
They lined up to go again, but this time Josy climbed up before Melanie. “Try for a minimal splash this time. Like this.” Josy displayed what she meant, with her arms straight up as she jumped off. Indeed, there was little splash as she entered the water.
With an exaggerated sigh, Melanie played along, knowing full well what Josy was up to. She thought she did well, but her mind was on her top. As expected, she had to pull it down from around her neck, fixing it properly after breaking the surface.
“Much better,” Josy grinned. “Again.”
They went several more times, and each time Melanie had to fix her top. It was an exciting little game, and she finally managed to make a minimal splash. She climbed up on the edge of the pool, sitting with her legs in the water.
Josy swam to her underwater and broke the surface right in front of her, treading water. “Hey. That was fun.”
Melanie smiled, nodding. It was fun and exciting, even though she was confident she hadn’t flashed anyone in the process.
Josy turned around and leaned with her back against Melanie’s knees, wriggling between them so she rested against the pool’s edge. Melanie was a little worried about her legs opening like that, but at least Josy was blocking most of the view.
After watching a few more dives, Josy turned around again, putting her hands on the edge and pulling herself up a little. She was gazing at Melanie’s bottoms with a grin, making her nervous.
They talked a little more, while Josy sneaked her right hand in towards Melanie’s bikini, grabbing the waistband with her fingertips underneath. She pulled, stretching it out and up.
Melanie both felt and saw how it forced the thong up between her lips, awakening the butterflies. She looked around nervously, before focusing her attention back on Josy. With her legs apart as they were, she was sure she was quite exposed. She couldn’t see it herself, but Josy could. She brought her own hand down to push Josy’s away, but met prompt disapproval. With trepidation, she put her hands on the pool’s edge as she peeked around to see if anyone was watching them.
“Hey,” Brian called, coming their way. “You’re not going again?”
“No, we’re good,” Josy answered, turning towards him.
Melanie kept her legs as close together as she could, but Josy was still in between her knees.
While Brian’s friend Alex broke the surface after his dive, Brian came up next to Josy, his eyes darting between Melanie’s legs. “Playing games, I see,” he grinned at them.
“Yup,” Josy quipped. She leaned away from the edge, pulling free and fully exposing Melanie – not only Brian, but also to Alex, who was swimming towards them.
Melanie reacted by slipping into the pool and fixing her suit, while the pool’s water helped cool her burning face.
Shortly after, the group seemed to be done with diving and Cohen suggested a chicken fight. The shallow end of the diving pool was just right for it.
Melanie swam to Brian to team up, but Josy called out, “You and me, Brian.”
Melanie thought there might be a little green monster influencing Josy’s decision, and hoped it wasn’t that serious. Since it was Cohen with Teresa, and Manuel with Sarah, she swam over to Alex and with help, climbed onto his shoulders.
“So you and Brian were in school together?” she asked, trying to ignore the strong broad shoulders under her skimpy suit as he swayed forward.
“Yeah, but I knew him before,” he said, moving into Cohen’s range. “Eh, since we were little.”
“That’s nice. So where do you study?” Melanie narrowly avoided Teresa’s grabbing hands by a lucky move of her arms, and then laughed as she saw Josy being pulled off Brian’s shoulders by Sarah.
“Puvael City. I – watch out!” Alex exclaimed.
Teresa grinned maniacally as she kept up the attack with her lightning fast hands. Successfully grabbing and pulling Melanie’s left arm, she was getting the upper hand, but missed the other arm.
Off-balance, Melanie shrieked as Teresa got a handful of her boob and she fell off Alex’s shoulders. Underwater, she felt with her hands, and her top seemed to be still in place. It hadn’t hurt, but she was a bit miffed.
Alex continued after she came back up. “I want to go psych, and they have a better program.”
“Sorry,” Teresa apologized.
“It happens,” Melanie responded, feeling that it hadn’t been on purpose.
Alex motioned with his hand, and they moved a bit further from the others, who were still engaged in the chicken fight.
“A while ago, Brian mentioned a girl he liked. Is that her?” Alex asked in a low voice, indicating Josy. “Is that why they paired up?”
“He said that?” Melanie asked, shifting uncomfortably. “Ah, Josy has other reasons, I think. He liked someone? What did he tell you?”
“Are you sure?” Alex asked, ignoring the questions.
“About Josy and Brian?” Melanie giggled. “Yes, I’m sure. There’s nothing between them.” As Alex raised his eyebrows, she added, “Promise you won’t tell anyone.”
“Sorry, but not keeping stuff from my bud,” he declared.
“Brian kinda knows already. And I’d like to tell him myself. Oh, and don’t tell anyone else.” Melanie was beginning to have doubts.
“Sure, I promise.”
Melanie gauged his sincerity. Though only meeting him that day, she thought she’d gotten a decent feeling of what kind of person he was. He was not part of her inner circle, which was good. He didn’t go to their college and didn’t even live in the same city anymore. She wanted to share her recent joys with someone, and he seemed like a good candidate.
Melanie moved to whisper in his ear. “It’s cause… well…” She felt her stomach doing somersaults. “She’s with me.” Instantly she felt her face burning, regretting telling Alex. Worried, she studied his face.
“You and her?” he exclaimed a little too loudly.
“Shh.” Melanie glanced over to the others. They’d finished the battle and were in an animated discussion over who had won that round. Josy was staring daggers at her. Melanie inwardly winced, but smiled and winked. Josy seemed to accept it and turned to Brian to say something.
“Oof,” Alex whispered. “So no shot then. Way to crush my dreams,” he laughed. “So who’s the girl from his class? He goes running with her.”
“Oops, well that would be me.”
“Oof again. He…” Alex stopped as if catching himself. “Please forget I said anything.”
“You won’t tell, right?”
“Right. I promise.” Alex zipped his lips.
They played a couple more rounds, with Manuel and Sarah taking the most wins. The guys switched to throwing a ball around, and the girls went to the side, sitting on the edge with their legs dangling in the water.
Two couples in the water close by were drawing a lot of attention with their shouts and laughter. The guys were holding the girl’s tops away from them, though it seemed that they were all having fun with it. After a while the girls climbed out, their arms over their ample chests hiding what they could as they walked off to the showers, the guys following behind.
Melanie noticed a lifeguard watching the small group, but he wasn’t saying or doing anything about it.
“Hey, you, I know you,” someone nearby said. There was a guy coming towards them, looking at Josy.
“Don’t think so.” Josy’s curt answer made him pause.
Two other guys joined him and he continued, “No, really. You’re the chick with the armor – at the party – the one with -”
“Excuse me?” Teresa interrupted, her voice dripping with venom. “Chick with the armor?”
That took him down a notch. “Ah, girl with the armor,” he proffered. Perhaps sensing no more immediate hostility, he went on, “The girl in white… with the mask. She was with you. Is she here too?”
The three guys had swum right up to where they were sitting, barely an arm’s length away. They were looking between Melanie and the other girls, perhaps trying to guess their mystery girl’s identity. Aside from being scared they’d figure it was her, she inwardly cringed at the guy’s awful choice of words, lack of subtlety, and lack of respect for their personal space.
They were blatantly checking them out from right up close, and the girls scooted back on the edge as much as they could.
More or less at the same time they all locked onto her. Did they know somehow? What gave it away? If they’d seen her sitting at the booth without her mask, they wouldn’t have asked it like that. Feeling increasingly uncomfortable, she stood up and walked away, the other girls following her lead.
“It’s her. I know it,” one of the guys laughed behind them.
The girls walked to the other pool. Thankfully the three guys hadn’t followed them.
Sarah rolled her eyes. “Creeps.”
“Are you okay?” Teresa asked, her hand briefly touching Melanie’s arm.
Melanie nodded, attempting a smile, and turned her attention to the pool in front of her. It was round, only chest deep and a bit smaller than the olympic pool. There was a large island with showers and waterfalls in the middle. She lowered herself in the water, turning around to say, “I’m fine. You can go back to the guys.” She looked back towards where their friends had gotten out. The three creeps were walking the other way.
“We’ll join you in a bit,” Josy added, slipping into the water as well.
Sarah and Teresa nodded and went back to the guys.
There was a current to the circular pool, and they let themselves follow along the edge. As they passed by the entrance to the outside area, Josy suggested, “Let’s try that out.”
The outside pool was connected by water, so they wouldn’t have to get out. They’d just have to go past the plastic flaps that kept the cold out. Outside, steam was coming off the warm pool water. Melanie followed Josy, swimming underneath the barrier.
The contrast between the warm pool water and the cool air was an interesting experience. Even more so, the warm sun was on their faces as they slowly made their way around another island. Surrounding the pool was a small grassy area that sloped down towards a wall of frosted glass.
They paused near the furthest point from the entrance, alone aside from the sun and the grass. Without saying a word, Josy pulled Melanie closer, putting her arms around her neck. Their lips touched briefly, and they both beamed. Melanie’s stomach was doing somersaults and she looked around nervously. Not seeing anyone, they kissed again.
At hearing giggles, Josy quickly separated from Melanie. They couldn’t see anyone else in the water, but at a sound behind them, they turned around. Two bubbly girls walked up to them and got into the water.
“Sorry, hi, uh… where did you…?” Josy asked.
“Over there,” one girl answered, pointing down the grassy slope.
“Isn’t it cold?” Josy asked.
“Maybe a little, but it’s nice in the sun,” the girl answered. She giggled again, winked, and added, “And some privacy.” With that, the two girls left to go back inside.
“Do you know them? Are they in your class?” Josy asked, with an unfamiliar edge to her voice.
“No, I’ve never seen them before.” Melanie reached out to Josy’s upper arm, lightly touching. “It’s okay.” She smiled tentatively at her girlfriend.
“I guess…” Josy’s frown slowly turned into a smile. She had that look in her eyes, and turned to lean over the edge.
“No way… forget it,” Melanie said, but felt her resolve melting away at the thought of a private moment. Her lips were still tingling from that kiss.
“Oh, Mel, we just have to,” Josy pleaded with bright and shining eyes.
Melanie nodded with nervous anticipation, thinking back to the previous time she’d been in a grassy field. She’d ended up nude then, after all – because of Josy.

So nice to see you added a new chapter! Thank you – I cannot wait to read it!
I’m happy to add a new chapter, and hope you like it. The next one should be posted either next weekend or shortly after.
Thank you for the comment.
very nice hope to see morte
Thank you, glad you like it. I won’t keep you waiting long for the next.
Great pool chapter. Realistic and has that trademark intimate, feel to it that your chapters always have. It really pulled me in.
I’m glad to hear that, thank you.
How is Emi? Hope she’s well and on her way back to us.
Yeah, Emi would have been streaking along under my pen by now if it were not for a couple minor health setbacks that have had slight complications. The last couple months have been unlucky.
For now, I’m just glad that Melanie & Josy are back and making progress on multiple fronts. And happy that you and others are posting.

Sorry to hear that you have been unwell and so unlucky. I had been wondering what happened to you these last few months. Glad to hear things might be improving.
Melanie: This was a wonderful chapter and like the others I am glad to hear another chapter is in the works.
Hooked6
Hooked6, thank you for the kind words. I’m happy to hear you liked the chapter.
Oh My Gosh — Melanie and Josy are back!!
They are even holding hands — right up front in the second paragraph. What a delightful pair!
Wonderful — the long anticipated swimming pool visit.
I have to say, Cave, you do this so well. Your characters are three-dimensional people. They talk like people, they behave like people, they think like — drumroll — actual people.
Josy’s attitude — so unusual for an enf tale where the writer is typically trying to maximize exposure and embarrassment. But that’s why this story can go places others can’t — believably. It’s a fun ride!
Such a delightful phrase. It’s fun to picture that in my mind’s eye. (Definitely taking notes!)
You are the master of the understatement. It adds greatly to the richness. I admire how you aren’t always using superlatives.
Exceptionally well described. Reading your prose is like watching a movie.
Absolutely hilarious!
Again, welcome back! I love how you end on a teaser! Melanie thinking back to the last time and how she’d ended up nude.
Very much looking forward to the continuation!
Your Friend,
Blair
I like to imagine my story has unique aspects to it, that it stands out. I’m sure I’m not the only writer who does. It’s wonderful to see it expressed in such a way. Unusual and a fun ride – I’m glad to hear that.
Thank you.
Thank you for the recap at the beginning. It’s great to see you back and writing. I’m glad that you can once again do what you enjoy.
The recap was important, I felt, after such a long pause between the chapters. Thank you for the kind words, and glad you found my story again.
Great! Another chapter of Mel and Josy’s adventures. I’ve had a look at the earlier chapters/comments and I think I was already rooting for Josy back then. So I am quite happy that it seems to be “official” now that Mel and Josy are together. I think Josy is a complex character and makes me look forward to how their relationship will develop.
LOL, Melanie’s imagination runs wild…
I really love how you manage to describe a simple thing like putting on a bikini bottom with such fun (and hot) details! It paints a very vivid picture of how it looks.
That’s fun! And I like that playfulness, but what I like most is that Mel occasionally fights back. This gives their relationship a nice dynamic. “leaving her hand stinging.” This must have been quite a slap. LOL
I love how you describe how she is insecure, how she worries about Brian’s opinion. The best part of this conversation is: “You’re a bit kinky, but… that’s what’s cool about you.” Well, I guess that’s what Mel is. LOL
I am really into your description of Mel’s bikini bottoms. :-)) I might have mentioned this before…
I remember you were, yes!
Thank you, it’s always fun to read your reactions to the quotes, and I’m happy to hear you’re enjoying the story as it continues.
