Wow, I posted that story in 2004 and I was sure everyone had forgotten it.  Thanks for reading!

Someone commented that it was a good idea to introduce Lourdes in Part 15 (I think).  Dareen became kind of a big sister to her.  The continuation of the story was called “NakedGirl II: The Problems of Being Brown and Bare”, but it got such a lack of reaction at the ASN Story Board — I mean it was a total dud, no one reacted at all — that I stopped writing after the first four chapters.

In the continuation I introduced a school in another part of Atlanta which had a progressive atmosphere and which would end up accepting Lourdes as a student so she could work toward her diploma even though by then she was almost totally nude.  Meanwhile she would continue dancing, but then got discovered (despite Dareen’s efforts to protect her) by Nedrow (one of his agents, out with the boys, got a lap dance from her and realized who she was) .  She was then interrogated in some perverse and shaming way that I’ve forgotten.

There would also be a greater emphasis on Billy and his girlfriend Sherry, Jamal dies somehow (IIRC he finally gets to have sex with Dareen, who always has her super powers because she has to stay naked all the time, and has such a powerful orgasm that it kills him), the comedian Rae McIver finally gets to meet her, and Dareen befriends the tattooed lesbian keeper of a Shinto shrine who knows what Novotny is up to.  My stories are very “multiculti” but I was really going to go to extremes with that one.

Dareen was a Lebanese Arab Muslim, Lourdes was (I think) an undocumented Dominican immigrant and a devout Catholic.  The story was a product of its time, “War on Terror”, 2004, with a U.S. government which was as incompetent as it was malevolent.  Of course, no one would believe such a premise today.  /s

I repeat — I would love for someone to do artwork for Dareen’s story, or Lourdes’s.  And I don’t mind if someone writes stories about them, with my usual caveats.
