For some reason, I thought that Lisa would not be able to kill Annabelle and that she would have to serve Annabelle, in exchange for the well-being of her friends.

I suppose things could have gone that way, but I’m usually a happy ending kinda guy. Especially with an ENF story, it’s always been important to me that the protagonist’s suffering doesn’t go on endlessly.

But it still came out great. Yes, there is a lot of magic here and it seems that it’s all not real. Why not.

Absolutely. I did consider keeping things more grounded when I was first planning this story out, which is part of why we go a few chapters before the magic element gets introduced. But other explanations I thought of for Lisa’s condition didn’t really lend themselves as well to the places I wanted to take the story, and threatened to make it more traumatic than fun. So ultimately a supernatural explanation seemed like the best way to go.

Endings are important to me too, and I like a happy ending. ENF is fun and exciting, but if it goes on too long I start feeling bad for the protagonist and wanting her to just get clothes already. So I’ve written my own stories to accommodate that.

I have a few ideas for my next piece, but it will be quite a lot shorter.
