Hey Friends,
I was asked about publishing on amazon after the release of the mailgirls anthology and I wanted to create a resource for anyone who is interested in putting their first book out. So, here is a link to my rundown of publishing erotica on Amazon. It is a very brief overview but should give you enough information to get started and, of course, I am here to answer any additional questions.
Authorship | Mailgirl Enterprises
Also, I am excited to announce that two of my mailgirls stories have made it to the finals of the Golden Pigtail erotica awards! Having some ENF stories win awards would certainly help to grow the genre, find new fans and hopefully inspire new authors. It would mean so much to me if anyone would take the time to vote for Testing the Mailgirl in “All Tied up At the Moment” (BDSM) and Send Boos in “Any Excuse for Some Smut” (Holiday). Thanks!!

Really cool resource for erotica publishing on Amazon. This is definitely something I’ll reference for myself. Glad to know I can also shoot you some questions when the time comes. Thanks for sharing this Wellvyne.
Btw, solid marketing in action there by sneaking in the contest links.
I voted.
Thanks for the vote and checking out the site!
And yeah, since you cannot really advertise erotica, things like small awards become pretty important… If people end up finding the thing I posted valuable, I can certainly go into more depth on some of the finer points.
You can’t really advertise erotica for books on Amazon? Oh pish-tosh. Of COURSE you can, if you are creative about it. Many authors of erotica have been doing it for years quite successfully. The most common way is to include links to your author page on other adult story sites. Naked Dan, the author of The Volunteer did it fir years at IO’s site before it went dark. Other sites like this one(nficstoryboard), Bookiesilk, Goodreads, Reddit, GNS, etc are good places to mine for readers/possible customers. The easiest way is too include a link under your signature everytime you post at the sites – stories, comments, feedback etc. You’d be surprised how effective this is,
Just a thought.
This is an excellent point and you are absolutely correct!
There are lots of ways to get your books in front of readers and you listed a great many resources.
I simply meant that you cannot use AMS ads the way you can for other types of literature.
Agreed. Good resource and smart marketing. I’ll vote for that!
Thank you!
