I just finished the first draft of a novel called The Girl Who Stopped Wearing Clothes. It is the sequel to The “Volunteer”. I do still have a lot of work to do on it (revisions, edits, copy edits, and proofreads), but the hardest part, at least for me, is done. The story is in some semblance of a completed form. I intend to publish it in Kindle and paperback editions which means I need a cover. I’ve got messages to SliceReality on DeviantArt, but I haven’t heard from back from him after a week. I’d love for him to do the cover if he’s willing and able, but at some point soon, I’ll have to look at other artists. So I’m hoping he will see this message…
Congrats on the first draft of your second novel!
Thanks! It’ll actually be my third. I published Life Models in 2019. https://www.amazon.com/Life-Models-D-H-Jonathan/dp/1733090800/
What is your idea for the book cover? Maybe I can help.
Markus, are you on DeviantArt?
No, but I know how to draw (I usually use procreate) and I have made several book covers. Now I’m on vacation but I’ll be back on September 6th and if you’re interested I can make you a book cover. I leave you my email topahoek@gmail.com; if you want you can write me there.
I’m psyched! The Volunteer was my favorite of your stories. Post a link to amazon when it’s ready
I will! And I think I found cover art, thanks to Instagram. I follow quite a few artists thanks to my job as an art model. One young lady, who used to draw me in her art classes four years ago, posted several beautiful paintings of female nudes she has done. One of those would be great as the cover and would lend some elegance to the book (being an oil on canvas work of fine art). She is agreeable to me licensing an image of her painting for the book cover.
